The best time to drink water and quantity to consume daily
Water makes up 60% of our body. Throughout the day, the body loses water through urine and sweat, but and normal body functions like breathing. To avoid dehydration, drink enough of water and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables every day. This article explain the amount of water you should drink and the best time to drink water for a proper body function.
There are many different perspectives on how much water you should drink daily. Eight 8-ounce glasses, or around 2 liters, or half a gallon, of water each day is widely recommended by health professionals. This is known as the 8×8 rule, and it is quite simple to remember.
How much water do you need?
The amount of water you require is dependent on many factors and varies from person to person. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s overall recommendation for adults are as follows:
a. For women, 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) per day.
b. For men, 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) per day.
This comprises fluids such as water, teas, and juice, as well as fluids from food. You may require more water than others. The amount of water you require is also determined by:
1. Your diet.
2. The temperature or season.
3. Your environment.
4. How active you are.
5. Your health.
Best time to drink water.
1. First thing in the morning.
A glass of water first thing in the morning is a simple approach to get your day started right. Some people may find that drinking water first thing in the morning helps them maintain healthy hydration habits and increase fluid intake throughout the day.
2. Before meals
If you’re attempting to lose weight, drinking a glass of water before each meal is a terrific method. This will not only make you feel fuller, but it will also help you eat less during that meal.
3. Before and after exercise.
Sweat causes you to lose water and electrolytes while you exercise. It’s critical to drink enough of water before and after exercising to keep your body hydrated and replace any lost fluids. Excessive fluid loss during an exercise might also harm your physical performance.
