Throwback picture of Obasanjo rocking Tinubu’s cap stirs reactions on social media
A throwback picture where a former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo was seen with a presidential aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu while rocking his cap has generated reactions online as follows.
This reaction is coming after a Facebook user named ‘Ayekooto Akindele shared the picture with the caption “Obasanjo has been using Tinubu’s Cap before you and I.”
The cap with the emblem is known to Tinubu’s political empire. Many Nigerians will refer to anybody putting on the cap as a supporter of the presidential aspirant. Although this picture looks old and it might be from when Tinubu was the governor of Lagos and at the same time Olusegun Obasanjo was the President of Nigeria.
Obasanjo might be given the cap without necessarily having any political affiliations with Tinubu. Because as it is presently, Obasanjo has advocated for the return of Presidential power to the Southeast because they had not been elected since the return of democracy to the country in 1999.
