UK releases list of Russian billionaires banned including Chelsea owner
Following the forceful invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, the Westworld have been castigating the move where they went ahead to impose sanctions in Russia and those perceived to be supporting his move.
Not stopping there, the UK, a member of the NATO has today released a list of businesses billionaires from Russia who have been slapped with sanctions. Among those who were in the list was Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich who earlier on handed over the club to trustees.
“There can be no safe havens for those who have supported Putin’s invasion. Today’s sanctions are the latest step in our ruthless pursuit of those who enable the killing of civilians, destruction of hospitals and illegal occupation of Ukraine.” Reads a statement from the UK.
Others in the list includes; Oleg Deripaska, Igor Sechin, Andrey Kostin, Alexei Miller, Nikolai Tokarev and Dmitri Lebedev.
With the war against Putin and his men already ongoing, the country is staring at an economic breakdown with more sanctions being put in place.
