With Euro 2024 now moving closer towards the knockout phase, games are taking on an even greater level of significance.
Only 16 of the nations who qualified for the group phase will earn a place in the Round of 16, meaning eight teams will be heading home from Germany before we reach July.
With the majority of teams now having played two games of their three group matches, the picture is becoming clearer as to which sides will be in the knockout stages.
Here’s a rundown of the teams knocked out of Euro 2024 so far and information on when the knockout matches will take place, up to and including the final.
The 24-team format gives the Euros an initial round-robin phase of six groups of four. The top two in each section qualify automatically for the Round of 16, with the best four third-place teams making up the remaining sides in the first knockout phase.

From that point on, the tournament is a straight knockout competition, with 30 minutes of extra time and a penalty shootout if necessary after any game that is level at full-time.
Scotland became the second team to be eliminated from Euro 2024.The Tartan Army lost 1-0 to Hungary in their final Group A fixture on Sunday night.
Steve Clarke’s men came into the game with one point, needing a win to at least finish in third place.
However, they only mustered their first shot on target in the 98th minute. In the 100th minute, a cut-back fell to Kevin Csoboth, who finished calmly.
Hungary moved up to third in Group A and are in with a shout of progressing to the last 16.
Poland has already been confirmed to exit the tournament before today. This follows the 0-0 draw between France and the Netherlands on Friday night.
