2019: Jennifer Atiku takes presidential campaign to Southeast
- Visits Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi, Adanna Okpara

The wife of the Presidential candidate of the Opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2019 general Elections in Nigeria, Jennifer Atiku Abubakar, has taken the Presidential campaign of her husband, Abubakar Atiku, to the South East
Jennifer has been traversing the length and breadth of Igbo land, mobilizing support for her husband, Atiku, in the February 16, 2019, Presidential election.
Jennifer took her campaign and mobilization to the home of the wife of Nigeria’s first Head of State, Lady Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi, whose husband, General Aguiyi Ironsi, who was assassinated in 1966.
Lady Adanna Okpara, wife of the late Premier of the Eastern Region, joined the campaign train at the residence of Lady Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi, to boost the symbol of reputable women leaders in the sotuheast.
Lady Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi prayed fervently for Jennifer, ushering her blessings of greatness.
Jennifer considered it a great honour to meet Lady Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi, wife of late Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, Nigeria’s first Head of State and Lady Adanna Okpara, wife of the First Premier of Eastern Region of Nigeria.
However, Lady Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi declared: “I earnestly hope we Nigerian women can aspire to their attributes and tread in their footsteps as we work to make Nigeria great again.”
