2023: Amosun’s banner surfaces in Abeokuta
Campaign banners displaying Ogun’s former Gov. Ibikunle Amosun dressed for the 2023 presidential election has surfaced in Abeokuta.
The banners were hung on one side of the NNPC Bridge, along the Kuto-Okemosan road on Wednesday.
Sen. Amosun, in one of the banners, was dressed in Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa attires, the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria.
“Your voice, your choice, SIA (Senator Ibikunle Amosun) for President” was inscribed on it.
Amosun has never in any way signified his intention to join the presidential race, though speculations abound he is interested, considering his vantage position in Aso Rock.
He was President Muhammadu Buhari’s ally in the ANPP before the merger that produced the APC.
