3 police officers gunned down in Ebonyi
Three policemen have been reportedly killed in front of a police station along the Enugu-Abakilik road, Ebonyi.
They shot dead as some gunmen approached them at the checkpoint the officers mounted.
According to a source which the Nation spoke to, the gunmen rode in a Hummer bus.
“The remains of the three police victims have been deposited at a mortuary in Abakaliki after they were confirmed dead by doctors,” the source said.
Earlier 10 police officers were so killed in two attacks in Enugu last week.
Police spokesperson, Loveth Odah, who confirmed said she could not give details of casualty figures until after a visit to the scene of the incident.
