9 PDP Govs endorse suspension of Damagum at Enugu meeting
Nine Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at an emergency meeting, endorsed the suspension of Damagum as national chairman of the party till further notice.
The governors mandated the new Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Ahmed Yayari Mohammed, to prepare for the next NEC meeting scheduled for 24th October, 2024, as the suspension of Illya Damagum persists.

The governors in attendance included Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State; Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Governor Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori of Delta State, Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, and Governor Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State.
