Theresa May out, Boris Johnson in as Britain prime minister
Theresa May on Wednesday bowed to pressure and resigned, clearing the stage for Boris Johnson to step in Britain’s Prime Minister.
Theresa May ha on Wednesday sent her resignation to Queen Elizabeth II while as her successor, Boris Johnson, took over.
National Dailylearned that May had arrived at the Queen‘s Palace after entrusting unto Johnson to deliver Brexit “in a way that works for the whole United Kingdom”.
“The Queen received in audience The Right Honourable Boris Johnson MP this afternoon and requested him to form a new administration,” Buckingham Palace said.
“Mr. Johnson accepted Her Majesty’s offer and kissed hands upon his appointment as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury,” it added.
