Tears as Precious Owolabi Ayo, Channels TV reporter was laid to rest
It was wild tears on Wednesday at the National Hospital, Abuja, when the remains of Owolabi Precious Ayo, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) the Channels Television killed while on media coverage of the Shi’ites protesters/police clash on Monday was committed to the mother earth. The remains of the corps member was conveyed in a casket from Kaduna.
The Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, led management staff and corps members to the hospital to pay their last respect to the fallen hero.
Sympathisers at the National hospital also include members of staff from Channels television and many others.
Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim had earlier visited the Chief Medical Director of National Hospital, Abuja, Dr. Jaf Momoh.
Precious, indigene of from Oyo State, graduated from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. He was said to have studied performing arts.
