Olorunrinu urge government to immortalise Adegeye

The Secretary of Lagos Legislative Forum, Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu has called on the powers that be in Amuwo Odofin area of the state to immortalise late Hon. Risikat Adegeye by naming a building or any project in her memory .
Olorunrinu, who was the former Amuwo Odofin constituency 1 lawmaker at the state Assembly, tasks political office holders in the area at a tribute programme held to celebrate the life and times of the deceased lawmaker in Festac.
He appraised the political sagacity of the late legislator reeling out a lot of good works and humanitarian moves made by her while on earth, adding that the lives touched by her good deeds matters most.
“Immortalizing Hon. Risikat Adegeye is inevitable in that it is something that we should do at the local government because she’s been a crowd puller, one whose mark’s of success are engraved in the hearts of the people.
“ Naming a particular structure in her name, maybe one of the buildings or probably a project.
People will hardly forget her influence and affluence, she liberated a lot of people.
“I branded a free bus having her face that will commute our people to and fro the locality for two months after, other souvenirs in her memory as well, she is a great amazon whose impact even while out of political officle was far reaching. She lived a life of service to humanity.
“This is to express the mindset of people in Amuwo-Odofin having known Honourable Adegeye not as a politician alone but a philanthropist,  someone that has been able to set herself for excellence, as regards accessibility to the grassroots people.
“In terms of leadership , mentorship to a lot of politicians and those that want to aspire taking them to their peak of success, either academically and even professional attainment.
“What really amazed me is the grace of God on her life because after office in 2011, she has been able to sustain a high level of relevance in politics and ensuring her presence is felt in the local government and outside too, her consistency must be celebrated.” Olorunrinu said.
Former Deputy Speaker Hon. Fashina one of the oldest lawmakers around, Eko Club President Hon.Tajudeen Agoro,Hon. Sultan Adele, Nixon Okwara and other dignitaries spoke glowingly about the deceased.
At the well attended tribute of honour programme held in her memory, other dignitaries and former lawmakers took turns to speak and eulogize her friendly mien,  which has really change the lives of many in the area.
The Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hon. Ramotalai Akinola was quick to recall her personal encounter with  the well mannered and comely Adegeye, she notes that she is a mother to all in the axis both young and old.
National Daily reports that a special service of song programme is being held in a hall in Alausa.
