Police uncovers headless body inside truck
The headless body of a man found around the Interwoba canal by Cherubim Road, in the Mike Three area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has left many residents in shock.
A witness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told our correspondent that the body, which was dumped in a truck, was discovered on Wednesday.
“This morning (Wednesday), we saw a young man in a truck; he was fair in complexion. One hand was cut off; the head was also cut off.
“We don’t know the people that did the evil. Even as I am talking to you now, the truck is still there. It is this truck that cart pushers use to sell scraps,” he added.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said he heard about the incident, adding that he had asked the Divisional Police Officer in the area for details.
“I have asked the DPO to go and find out. I will get back to you,” Omoni stated.
He had yet to get back to our correspondent as of the time of filing this report.
