EndSARS Anniversary: Youths converge at Ovonramwen Square

Youths in Edo State on Wednesday covered at the popular Oba Ovonramwen Square, Benin City, for the one-year memorial of the #EndSARS movement which held the protest for the disbandment of SARS in 2020 over police brutality and extrajudicial killings.

Operatives of the Edo State Vigilante had earlier on Wednesday locked the entrance gate to the Oba Ovonramwen Square to prevent the youths from entering the venue, but the crowd forced the gate open and occupied the venue.

There many others joined the movement fore the one year memorial event in Edo State.

At time of this report, there was no incident of police confrontation  or violence in any part of the state.
