Fast-rising Nigerian musician, Ruger, has spoken on his rise to fame and more in a recent interview with Hip TV.
While speaking with Nancy Isime on the Trending show, the Bounce crooner explained the funny way he came about his name, Ruger.
The musician whose real name is Michael Adebayo noted that his stage name, Ruger, is also the name of a gun. Singer Ruger discloses that he used to work in Computer Village before D’Prince called him.
According to him, he used to position his hands like he was ready to shoot while at a music boot camp and his senior colleague, D’Prince, named him Ruger.
Not stopping there, the talented singer noted that his signature eyepatch was also in tune with his name because a sniper covers one eye when he wants to shoot. I used to work at Computer Village Ruger who is gradually becoming a household name in the music industry noted that he wasn’t always the person he is now.
The Bounce crooner noted he used to work in a popular gadget market in Lagos called Computer Village. According to him, he was one of the good guys in the place.
Ruger added that he was at Computer Village when D’Prince sent him a DM and called him a star. The musician also advised youths looking to come up to be patient.
He noted that most people expected success to come at once meanwhile patience is a virtue.
He said: “We youths expect things to just actualize quickly and I think that is a bad thing. When you start something don’t think that it will happen immediately. Most of us are not patient. Patience is a virtue and it will help you grow and be ready for that big spotlight that you want.”
