When you hear this, the title-winning goal comes to your mind. The moment experienced by the Cityzens in the last minutes of the last game of the 2011/2012 season was inexplicable and for that alone, he will never be forgotten not only by Manchester City fans but football fans in general. He has definitely left his mark.

Aguero is, arguably, one of the best strikers to have ever graced the pitch. He won 13 major trophies with four clubs including Man City and Athletico de Madrid and he also has many individual awards to his name. He scored 41 goals for Argentina, 23 Indepediente in 54 appearances, 74 for Athletico Madrid in 175 matches,184 for Manchester City in 275 games and 1 in four apperances for FC Barcelona. That’s 323 goals in total.

The Argentine moved from Manchester City to Barcelona in the summer of 2021/2022 season after having a quiet season for Man city; he barely ever played in the 2020/2021 season where he lost the chance to lift the UCL title after losing to Chelsea in the final; a game he played as a substitute.

Incessant injuries wouldn’t let him live up to expectations. He first had a knee injury which took him a few weeks to recover from and when he became fit, he finally got his first goal and not against any opponent but Real Madrid where they lost 2:1 to the Los Blancos.

However, he can’t play a game after the game against Alaves where he suffered a heart problem and was forced out of the game at half time. It was reported that he had had a heart problem before and it could cost him more this time around.

After a conducting series of tests on the legendary striker, the doctors have concluded that retiring is the best option for the Argentine and he will address a press conference next week. It’s such a sad ending but what a career he had!
