Flights cancelled at Heathrow airport as officials discover two hand grenades in passenger’s luggage
There are reports of a breach in security at Heathrow Airport as airport officials allegedly discovered two hand grenades in a passenger’s luggage.
According to a source who divulged this information, this has prompted the UK government to cancel all flights in and out of the country until further notice
All flights were cancelled till further notice.
The last time a similar situation like this occured in the same airport was on January 15, where a hand grenade that caused the Airport’s Terminal 2 to be evacuated.
The hand grenade was spotted by security officers whilst completing security checks in the departure area.
While the decommissioned grenade posed no threat, the owner of the luggage where it was found, a 19-year-old Italian national Domenico Giovinazzo, was arrested and subsequently charged with carrying a prohibited article in an aerodrome.
