The National Assembly members had passed several resolutions on the amendment of the constitution, concluding the process at the federal level for transmission to the states for ratification. However, the federal lawmakers failed to address crucial issues that will promote national interest or promote the expectations of Nigerians.

Highlights of the voting in the National Assembly on the amendment of the constitution are as follows:
