Police confirm lovers died in car on Lagos/ Ibadan Expressway
The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed that two lovers died inside a car in the vicinity of Mowe/Ibafo axis of the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
The man, Akeem, was said to have committed suicide after killing his lover.
The police narrated that Akeem was earlier reported at the Ilaje Police Division, Lagos State, for hitting lover’s head with an object, which may have caused her death.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, “When the lady became unconscious, the man put her in his car and drove off, took sniper on their way to Ogun State and they were both found dead around NASFAT area of Mowe-Ibafo axis of the state.”
The PPRO stated that people noticed the vehicle parked on the same spot for two days and reported the suspicion at the station.
The PPRO noted that “They did not die while having sex, the man had earlier been reported at Ilaje police station in Lagos. He was reported for allegedly hitting an object on his lover’s head.
“When the lady became unconscious, the man put her in his car and drove off. He reportedly took snipper on their way to Ogun State and they were both found dead around NASFAT.”
