FFK reacts to video of Baba Ahmed rejecting power rotation (Video)
The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode has taken to his official Twitter handle @realFFK to share a video of the spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed speaking about the call for a power shift from the North to the South.
FFK wrote;
“Listen to this and pray for Nigeria. May God guide us and give us direction and understanding 🙏”
Hakeem Baba-Ahmed rejected the call for a power shift because he considered it to be unconstitutional. According to him, Northerners would be ready to serve Nigeria in any position provided that is the position Nigerians voted them to serve in.
He believes that as far as Nigeria runs a Democratic system, the Northerners wouldn’t accept a second class position in a situation where they have all it takes to fight for a first-class position.
He stated that the North has the majority of the votes and they would only relinquish power if Nigerians vote them out. According to him, who becomes Nigeria’s president shouldn’t be based on zoning but based on the will of the people. He went on to say that anyone who eventually becomes Nigeria’s president, should not forget to stay humble.
