Woman traffics guns to Delta in umbrella
The Eagle-Net Special Squad of he Nigeria police has arrested a passenger trafficking guns inside her umbrella along the Sapele-Benin express in Delta.
Victoria Itila was allegedly transporting arms and ammunition, including six locally made double-barrelled guns.
The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
Edafe said they intercepted a Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number: OLG 13 EFR and subjected the passengers to a search.
It was during the search that the suspect was arrested with the guns hidden in an umbrella.
He added investigation continues on the matter.
