Police officer who reject N864m bribe finally promoted
Francis Osagie Erhabor, a Nigerian police officer who said he once rejected a ₦864 million bribe, has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
The former chief superintendent was decorated with his new rank on Tuesday, August 9, by the State Police Commissioner, CP O.A. Durosinmi, Igbere TV reports.
This comes months after he reportedly attempted to resign over non-promotion in January 2022.
Erhabor, who joined the force in 1990, had claimed he was only promoted five times in over 30 years in active service, despite the fact that he never took a bribe.
