Babajide Otitoju reacts after he was asked if Atiku should pick Gov. Wike as DG of his campaign team (Video)
Popular Nigerian broadcaster and multiple-awards winning journalist, Babajide Otitoju while speaking during an interview has reacted after he was asked if it is advisable for the Presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar to pick the current governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike as his Director General of his Presidential campaign team.
In response to this question, Babajide Otitoju said that he was told that Nyesom Wike had removed the PDP flags in his office, adding that those who said this are looking for a way to convince Nigerians that Wike is romancing the APC, however, Babajide Otitoju stated that governor Wike has come out to say that such claims are not true.
Further speaking, Babajide Otitoju said in this case, he is not sure if Atiku Abubakar has any plans of picking his director general of his Presidential campaign team from the South, however, it will be nice if Atiku should go down to the South and pick someone for his Presidential campaign team because he needs as many votes as he can get from the Southern region.
Babajide Otitoju also said that he believes that a governor who is in his second term is the best suited for that kind of position Atiku Abubakar is looking for because such a person would not be distracted with his own ambition for re-election, but he is not sure that Wike would accept this offer from Atiku Abubakar.
