Two men arrested for assaulting a police officer
Ifeanyi Akeme and his accomplice, Chinedu Enyinnaya, were detained for attacking a police officer near Okota Road and Cele Bus Stop in Lagos.
In a statement released by the Lagos police command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said that Inspector Rowland Uankhehi, a police officer, was assaulted by the suspects on Friday, September 16, when he was apprehending a stubborn motorbike rider.
He sustained various degrees of injuries before being saved and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Benjamin pointed out that they are chilling in police custody and will face the full wrath of the law.
