Herbalist arrested alongside clergymen for exhuming woman’s corpse
A 28-yr-old vulcanizer and self-acclaimed herbalist, Ismail Adewuyi, has been arrested by police operatives in Osun State after being found in possession of a freshly-c#t woman’s head and intestines in Ede area of the state.
According to the PRO of the police command, SP Yemisi Opalola, the suspected ritualist was arrested on Saturday by one Isa Usman, a member of the Nigerian Hunters Association, who took him to the police.
She added that Adewuyi was arrested by the hunter around a cemetery. Opalola stated also that police had started interrogating the suspect. However, a source reports, “He attended the burial ceremony of the woman’s corpse he exhumed last week. We heard he has been doing this four years. A fake pastor and an Islamic cleric were arrested too in connection with the case.”
