APC LAHA/Reps aspirants flays Sanwo-Olu over failure to redeem early October promise
Aspirants who jostled for seats at the Lagos State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives across the three senatorial District of Lagos state in the All Progressives Congress party primaries held Friday, 27th May 2022 have threatened to protest alleged plan to shelf a gentlemanly pact between them and the Lagos State Governor Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In a chat with the aspirants they declared that they were promised a refund by Gov Sanwo-Olu, as part of reconciliatory moves to keep them within the fold and enhance loyalty to the party.
The concerned individuals were however perturbed that after the primaries held several months back, their counterparts in Oyo state under the PDP led administration of Governor Seyi Makinde already got their refunds while Lagos State lagged behind.
They were of the view that Lagos State being the centre of excellence ought to lead the pace if not that some individuals are trying to play games, which they are ready to vehemently resist.
Although Governor Sanwo-Olu was said to have promised to make the refunds first week in October 2022, which now brings it up to nearly two and a half months after without making good the promise, the affected aspirants in the state were not too pleased with the needless delay.
