Thunder strikes three Kidnappers to death in Kwara, burnt beyond recognition
Thunder struck three kidnappers to death in Oro Ago community, Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State. The kidnappers were said to be burnt to death in the bush after the thunder-strike.
Members of Local Vigilance team in Igbomina were said to have embarked on security surveillance and combing of the bush in the area when they discovered the the kidnappers killed by thunder storm three days ago.
The kidnappers killed by the thunder strike were identified as members of an eight-man kidnap squad terrorizing residents in Iwo, Osun State, in recent weeks.
The burnt bodies of the demised kidnappers were said to have begun to decompose at the time the vigilante got to the scene.
In a viral video clip, a man was cited to have stated: “We’re members of the vigilance team in Igbomina Kwara. Our efforts against those perpetrating evil and kidnapping people in our area had yielded fruits. “Thunder strike struck them dead. Three of them. God will continue to make us successful against the evildoers. We shall overcome them all by the grace of God. Thank you all”.
The Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, was cited to have acknowledged the incident, saying that the State Command has commenced an investigation into the incident.
