Harry Kane transfer takes new dimension after Daniel Levy’s meeting with Bayern Munich
The reports reaching National Daily suggest that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has met with Daniel Levy metBayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen on Thursday to discuss the possible transfer of Harry Kane.
Though it is understood that there was no meaningful progress made in that regards during the meeting, but it is believed that dialogue is still open as such meeting was not the first of its kind however.
National Daily understands that Spurs want to retain their talisman by tying him down to a new deal despite the Bundesliga giants’ determination to secure his transfer away from the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Kane is expected to be part of the Spurs squad flying to Australia on Friday.
In as much as Tottenham will like to continue with their effort to persuade the England captain to sign a lucrative contract extension, the north London club have a dual fear regarding the situation namely, losing Kane on a free transfer and his possibility of joining their Premier League rivals should he run down his current deal.
Kane is understood to have met Ange Postecoglou on Wednesday after the new Spurs boss maintained his desire to make the 29-year-old central in his plans to shape a side that produces exciting, attacking football.
An average Spurs fan would love to see Kane remain with the north Londoners as they push for their possibility of building a formidable squad that can challenge for titles.
