Police dismiss officers who demanded money from a Dutch biker
The Nigerian Police Force has dismissed Kareem Fatai and Jimoh Abdul-Lukman, two special police constabularies who demanded money from a Dutch tourist in Oyo State
The two officers were dismissed by Adebola Hazmat, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police on Thursday. Hamzat stated that their dismissal was necessary to deter other police officers from the same act
“I affirm the recommended punishment of dismissal for the two police special constabularies, Kareem Fatai & Jimoh Abdul-Lukman,” he said
“I hereby pronounce both of them dismissed from the police special constabulary. They will cease to be members of the special constabulary with immediate effect
“It is hoped that this will serve as a deterrent to others who might want to perform a similar act.”
It would be recalled that on December 7, a video of both police constabularies demanding for money from an unidentified tourist from the Netherlands
