EFCC Arrests 45 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Lagos
Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested 45 suspected internet fraudsters in the Ikorodu area of the state.
This was disclosed in a statement posted on the agency’s official X handle on Wednesday.
The statement read, “They were arrested on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Ikorodu, Lagos, following intelligence on the activities of an Organised Cybercrime Syndicate Network, OCSN, operating in that axis of the state.
“Items recovered from them at the point of arrest include exotic vehicles, sophisticated mobile devices, and laptops.
“They will soon be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigations.”
National Daily had reported on March 8 that the Ilorin Zonal Command of the EFCC arrested an herbalist and 48 suspected internet fraudsters in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Similarly, it was reported on Monday that 37 suspected Internet fraudsters were arrested by the EFCC in different parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
