We need to put stamp on Three Lions squuad -Carsley
England’s interim head coach, Lee Carsley, emphasized the importance of making his mark on the squad and earning the respect of his top players.
Appointed temporarily by the FA, Carsley will lead the Three Lions as they prepare for their UEFA Nations League fixtures.
Following speculation linking the position to several high-profile English and foreign managers, Carsley, who previously managed the England U-21 team, will oversee matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland in September.
This comes after Gareth Southgate stepped down following England’s defeat by Spain in the Euro 2024 final last month.
In an interview with the FA’s media channel, Carsley said, “Following Gareth and Steve Holland, it’s a prestigious role.
