After a brief meeting with the police, Ajaero, flanked by prominent figures like Femi Falana and Deji Adeyanju, dismissed the claims as baseless. He affirmed the NLC’s commitment to workers’ rights and vowed that the union would remain undeterred by intimidation, continuing its advocacy for improved worker welfare.

Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), visited the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) headquarters in Abuja on Thursday to address allegations of terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony.

Accompanied by human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) and activist Deji Adeyanju, Ajaero arrived at 10:17 a.m. and left at 11:15 a.m.

Speaking after the meeting, Ajaero dismissed the allegations as baseless and reiterated that the NLC would not be intimidated.

He emphasized the union’s commitment to defending workers’ rights and continuing their advocacy despite the challenges.

Ajaero highlighted the historical struggles of labour leaders and assured that the NLC remains steadfast in its mission to improve workers’ welfare.
