Lagos State Governor lauds Judiciary for reforms
“The digitalization of court processes has significantly enhanced the efficiency of the judiciary.”
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commended the state judiciary for its efforts in reforming court processes to meet the evolving needs of society.
In a message delivered at the new legal year service, Sanwo-Olu praised the judiciary’s digitalization efforts, which have improved efficiency and reduced delays.
He also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting the judiciary’s independence and ensuring adequate resources for its operations.
The Diocesan Bishop of the Cathedral Church of Christ, Rt Rev. Ifedola Okupevi, urged judges and lawyers to uphold truth and impartiality in their work.

He emphasized the importance of avoiding bribery and ensuring the fair administration of justice.
The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, highlighted the significance of judicial independence and commended the state government for allowing the judiciary to function without interference.
The Committee Chairman of the legal year, Justice Adenike Coker, encouraged lawyers and stakeholders to participate in a webinar on cyber offences.
