EyiyemiOlivia Rogbinyin to host inaugural QEDNG Creative Powerhouse summit

Veteran actor and voice artiste EyiyemiOlivia Rogbinyin has been unveiled as the host of the inaugural QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit, scheduled for August 12, 2025, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The announcement was made on Thursday by Mighty Media Plus Network Limited, publishers of the online news platform QEDNG, organisers of the summit.

Celebrated for her versatility and commanding presence across theatre, film, and radio, EyiyemiOlivia brings over 30 years of professional experience to the summit stage.

She is renowned for standout roles such as Iya Onidiri in Itura (M-Net Africa Magic) and Hajia Malaika Doherty in Dust. She has also gained acclaim for her advocacy of professionalism and respectful conduct on set, particularly regarding the treatment of cast and crew members.

“EyiyemiOlivia is more than a host. She is a storyteller who connects deeply with her audience,” said Olumide Iyanda, publisher of QEDNG and convener of the summit. “Her presence brings warmth, elegance, and a unique energy that perfectly aligns with the spirit of this summit.”

EyiyemiOlivia has worked with a broad range of top-tier creatives, including Richard Mofe-Damijo, Daniel Oriahi, Ego Boyo, Biodun Stephen, Hadizat Ibrahim, Wumi Fosudo, Omoni Oboli, and Steve Gukas, among many others.

Her career has spanned stage productions, cinema, and radio, building a loyal following thanks to her emotive voice, sharp intellect, and engaging presence.

In the radio space, she has co-hosted popular programmes like Weekend Nigeria on Spirit of Nigeria Radio and The Praise O’Clock Show on Praiseworld Radio, further cementing her reputation as a charismatic and relatable media personality.

“Her collaborative spirit and respect for behind-the-scenes contributors make her compassionate and relatable to event attendees,” Iyanda added. “From radio to stage to screen, EyiyemiOlivia has left a lasting impression everywhere she’s performed.”

The QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit aims to convene stakeholders from across the creative industries—filmmakers, policymakers, business leaders, and investors—to explore ways of strengthening Nigeria’s creative economy.

The summit will feature two panel sessions, moderated by veteran journalist Steve Ayorinde and broadcast professional Anike-ade Funke Treasure.

Udeme Ufot, Group Managing Director of SO&U, was earlier announced as the summit chairman, while Dr. Nkiru Balonwu, founder of The Africa Soft Power Group, will deliver the keynote address.

The summit is positioned as a pivotal moment in shaping policy conversations and partnerships around Nigeria’s creative and cultural sectors, with EyiyemiOlivia Rogbinyin set to anchor the event’s energy and purpose with her signature charm and professionalism.
