In Ogombo roundabout last Friday, 30th June, 2017, a flying bird was said to have fallen from the sky and turned into a woman.
National Daily gathered that the incident happened few minutes past 10pm, close to the Ogombo Divisional Police Station.
Narrating what he saw to our reporters, an eye witness named Paul said he was sent by his mother with his siblings to buy some fuel before the roundabout.
Suddenly, they saw a bird flying low over their heads with screaming noise that attracted people who were around there.
In the midst of the noise and seeming confusion on the strangeness of the noise from a supposedly nocturnal bird, National Daily learnt that one of the women that had a shop started praying loudly that “if you are a natural bird, fly away from this place but if you have any ulterior motive with your strange noise, fall down.”
Immediately, the bird was said to have fallen straight on the tarred road and turned into a woman.
The boy further narrated that immediately he saw the bird turned into a woman, he was gripped with fears and shivering.
He was said to have quickly purchased the fuel and ran home to tell their parents what they saw.
Their mother who corroborated the story, started giving praises to God for not allowing calamity to befall her family or allow the bird to fall on her children since it landed right in front of them.
One of the residents who witnessed the incident, Adekola, told National Daily that after the bird fell and turned to a woman, people wanted to mob her but on a second thought, they decided to interrogate her with a view to knowing her mission.
The woman was said to have explained that she flew from Ikorodu to attend an emergency meeting at Ogombo with other witches and wizard but on her way, she was brought down by a powerful force beyond her understanding.
As soon as she confessed to being a witch, she was dragged to the Ogombo Police Station which was few metres away from the scene.
It was gathered that a senior police officer sent them away claiming that police station was not a place to decide witches and wizards matters.
Asked what happened after been dragged out of the police station, a witness added that he didn’t know what happened after as he left the scene and went home.
Every effort made to get further details on what happened to the woman turned abortive.
However, a source revealed that the woman might have been mobbed after the police failed to take her into their custody adding that the crowd that trooped out and surrounded her was enormous suggesting that she might have been mauled to death.
However, another source revealed to National Daily that the woman further confessed that they were eight witches in the cove who had came for a child who was delivered three days before to kill him at Ogombo.
The witch added that as after they arrived their meeting place, they hovered around the house with a view to striking the baby dead; but the more they tried, the more they became unsuccessful until strange power brought her down crashing to the tarred road.
