Trabzonspor demand €30m for Onuachu
Trabzonspor have told Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli to pay €30m for Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu, as uncertainty continues over the forward’s future at the Turkish club.
Al Ahli are expected to hold another meeting with Trabzonspor this week as they push to sign the 32-year-old striker.

Onuachu is reportedly open to leaving Trabzonspor, but any transfer will depend on whether the Saudi club meets the Turkish side’s valuation.
The Nigerian returned to Trabzonspor permanently last season after initially spending the 2023/24 campaign there on loan from Southampton.
He enjoyed an outstanding season, scoring 26 goals in all competitions, including 22 in the league, which saw him finish as the Turkish Super Lig’s joint-top scorer alongside Istanbul Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov.
Onuachu also played a key role in Trabzonspor’s Turkish Cup triumph, scoring twice in the 2025 final as they defeated Konyaspor 2-1.
Trabzonspor had previously rejected two offers for the striker and maintained that they wanted to keep their Golden Boot winner. However, their stance could be changing as the club reportedly closes in on former Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal.
If Nunez completes his move to Trabzonspor, the arrival of a replacement could make it easier for the Turkish club to sanction Onuachu’s departure.
Al Ahli are not the only club to have shown interest in the Nigerian. Turkish rivals Fenerbahce previously considered a move but have since ended their pursuit after signing Romelu Lukaku from Napoli.
Al Hilal could also enter the race for Onuachu, particularly if Karim Benzema leaves the Saudi club.
The Riyadh-based side have already failed in their reported €130m pursuit of fellow Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who remains at Galatasaray.
For now, Onuachu remains a Trabzonspor player, but his future could be decided in the coming days as Al Ahli continue negotiations over a potential €30m transfer.
