Man allegedly killed in suspected cult attack in Ikate-Elegushi

A man has reportedly been killed in a suspected cult-related attack at Ikate-Elegushi, in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The incident, according to reports, occurred after the victim allegedly identified himself as a member of the Eiye (ACN) confraternity while speaking with a group of men.The men were reportedly members of the rival Aye (NBM) group who allegedly disguised themselves as Eiye members.

Sources said the victim was attacked shortly after disclosing his alleged affiliation and subsequently killed.

A video purportedly showing the incident has reportedly circulated on Telegram, although the circumstances surrounding the recording and its authenticity have not been independently verified.

The alleged killing has raised fresh concerns over cult-related violence in parts of Lagos, particularly in areas where rival confraternities are reported to operate.

However, police authorities have not publicly confirmed the incident or disclosed details regarding any investigation, arrests or the identity of the victim.
