Child traffickers kidnap, parade 3-yr-old with cancer to make N25,000 daily
Two suspected child traffickers parading themselves as social workers and making N25, 000 daily by using victims as beggars in Onitsha, Anambra are now remanded in prison.
Friday Edet and Ezekiel Ubong, arrested in Tuesday, are both from Akwa Ibom State.
The group of two have been parading children with different kinds of health conditions to ask for alms.
They were arrested by the Fegge division of the Nigeria Police Force.
The two have kidnapped and paraded at least six boys having hernia, and a three-year-old girls with cancer.
According to the Fegge Divisional Police Officer who confirmed the incident, said the suspects were notorious for using abducted children for alms begging in locations different from their states after inflicting injuries and ailments on them to attract public sympathy.
DPO Rabiu Garba said the victims were rescued and reunited with their families.
