How Boko Haram killed 18 at Buhari estate

The early Wednesday bombing in Damaturu, Yobe state that left 18 killed and eight people injured by Boko Haram insurgents remain a sad memories for families of victims as they narrated how lost loved ones.
Although the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin, confirmed the dead, he added that the wounded are been treated at Dala Orthopedic Hospital in Kano.
Gbadegesin explained that the attack was carried out by three suicide bombers who detonated their devices at three different places.
He stated that two
suicide bombers’ attacked
Buhari Estate while the third attack was at a Fulani settlement behind Zanna Zakariya Housing
Estate, Damaturu, Yobe State.
It was gathered 11persons were killed at the Fulani settlement while six people were at Buhari
Estate. One person was said to have later died at the hospital.
Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Musa Idi Jidawa, disclosed to newsmen that the attackers were boys of about 17 years old.
Describing the attack as “barbaric” the state Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam, commended the federal government new approach to fighting the insurgents.
One of the victims who lost the first son narrated how the terrorist bombed the place. “We were inside when we heard a loud noise, my son rushed out to find out what happened. He saw one of the suicide bombers walking toward his house. To prevent the entire and people been bombed, he held the man and the bomb went off and killed both of them
However, the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin, who Wednesday inaugurated a 10-man committee to reform the Armed Forces said the military was re-strategizing towards winning the war against Boko Haram and meeting the President December 2015 mandate to end insurgency.
