Onaiyekan Expresses Concern over large security deployment for elections
The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, has told key administrators of the electoral process to be non-partisan and ensure all citizens votes count in the February 23rd polls.
The Catholic Archbishop issued the counsel while receiving the United Arab Emirates Ambassador, Fahad Obaid Al Tafaq, in Abuja.
The Archbishop also expressed concern over the large number of security personnel being deployed for the general elections, indicating that they should not be used to intimidate anyone.
He advised Nigerians to tolerate one another in the interest of national peace
