Imo PDP Women protest, demand free, fair, credible elections
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, women wing in Imo State has staged a protest in the state, demanding free, fair and credible governorship and house of assembly elections in the state on Saturday.
The women in their large numbers led by the state women leader, Maria Mbakwe, visited the 35 Artillery Brigade Obinze, military Command where they pleaded with the leadership of the Command to allow the process go smoothly and not to be partisan
The women adorned black attire with placards marched to the INEC headquarters where they handed over their petition letter, calling on the electoral umpire to carry out their functions with all modesty.
The women insisted that the exercise will only be hitch-free if INEC does its best in ensuring the will of the people is not subverted.
