Adebayo Alao-Akala, the former governor of Oyo State is dead. He was reported dead in the early hours of Wednesday January 12, in Igbomoso.
The National Daily reports that Adebayo Alao Akala served as governor of Oyo state between 2007 and 2011.
He first served as a deputy governor under former governor, Rashidi Ladoja between 2003 and 2006, when Chief Ladoja was impeached and consequently sworn in as the acting governor for eleven months.
May his soul rest in peace.
