Afrobeats superstar Davido donates N300m to orphanages across Nigeria
Renowned Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced a generous donation of N300 million to orphanages across Nigeria. The announcement, made on his social media platforms Tuesday, has been met with praise and appreciation from fans and Nigerians alike.
Davido, a vocal advocate for philanthropy, made the donation through his David Adeleke Foundation. The foundation, established in 2016, focuses on empowering youths and communities through education, music, and other initiatives.
“We believe that every child deserves a chance to live their dreams,” stated a spokesperson for the David Adeleke Foundation. “This donation will contribute to improving the lives of countless orphans across the country, providing them with access to education, healthcare, and other essential resources.”
The specific beneficiaries of the donation have not yet been announced, but they are expected to include orphanages in various regions throughout Nigeria. This move aligns with the foundation’s past charitable endeavors, which have supported orphanages, provided scholarships, and empowered young entrepreneurs.
This latest act of philanthropy further cements Davido’s reputation as a role model and philanthropist in Nigeria. His influence extends beyond music, as he continues to inspire others to give back to their communities and empower the less fortunate.
