Air Force ferries 600kg materials for elections to states
The Nigerian Air Force have indicated that they successfully airlifted over 600 kilograms of electoral materials to different locations across the country for the 2019 general elections.
The airlift was conducted using eight different aircraft in support of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar noted beside the logistic support, officers of the Air Force have been directed to ensure the security of lives and property during and after the polls.
The Air Force boss who met with Field Commanders in Abuja, also directed the deployment of surveillance aircraft in flashpoints to forestall the breakdown of law and order.
Air Force and other security operatives have also been advised to desist from getting involved in partisan politics and all forms of misconduct.
