Akeredolu vows to protect Ondo People at any Cost in enforcing anti–open grazing law
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, receiving the Pastorate of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry led by the State Overseer, Pastor Jacob Asubiojo, vowed to protect the people of the state in enforcing the anti-open grazing law in the state. The governor reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to protect the lives and property of the people of the state at all cost.
Governor Akeredolu noted that the recent anti-grazing law enacted in the state was not pleasing to some people. He, however, insisted on enforcing it and ensure that farmers are saved from losing their farm crops because of the outdated open grazing practice.
Akeredolu emphasized that the security activities of the Amotekun and the outlawing of open grazing were not targeted at anyone. He affirmed that the need to protect the people and ensure mutual understanding precipitated the security measures.
Governor Akeredolu noted that members of the Miyetti-Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in Ondo State are prepared to cooperate with his administration on the open grazing ban. The governor maintained that no one can stop the actions of the state government to protect citizens resident ion the state.
