Anglican Archbishop Welby proves Fayose wrong about Buhari
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, on Friday paid a personal visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at Abuja House, London, and was happy the Nigerian president is getting back in shape after over a hundred days on sick leave.
Mr. Welby said his friend’s rapid recovery is a testimony to the healing powers of God, and answer to prayers of millions of people around the world.
The cleric pledged to continue praying for both Mr. Buhari and Nigeria.
Although many critics, mostly led by PDP Gov Ayo Fayose and party man Femi Fani-Kayode. have insisted Buhari is brain dead and bed-ridden, Welby’s visit has shed more light on the dark patches over the president’s health status.
Buhari thanked Welby, emphasising how the Christian leader has always stood by him at critical times, and wished him God’s continued grace in his spiritual duty of leading the Anglican Communion worldwide.
The spiritual head of the Anglican church apparently has a soft spot for his Muslim friend,
This would be the second time he was visiting Buhari in London.
