It would be recalled that on September 22, 2021 a staff of new generation bank, Mike Ajibike, also died of COVID-19 vaccine complications in Uzoro, Delta State.

This was a few days after one of Nigeria’s leading banks, GT Bank, issued a circular to its staff demanding a mandatory vaccination or a salary cut by 50 percent.

Ajibike was believed to have received the vaccine alongside other staff members of his bank on September 10, but he became ill shortly afterward.

He was transferred to the Central Hospital in Warri, where he died, according to a family relative.

Meanwhile data released by the United States’ Centre for Disease and Control and Prevention showed that between Dec. 14, 2020 and Sept. 24, 2021, a total of 752,803 adverse effects of the vaccines have been reported in the country alone through the Vaccine Adverse Event eReporting System (VAERS).

The data included a total of 15,937 reports of deaths — an increase of 551 over the previous week.
