Aso Rock Shooting Update: Buhari replaces security chief
President Muhammadu Buhari has replaced his former chief personal security officer with a deputy commissioner of police after a shooting incident that took place in the Aso Rock weeks ago.
The president now approved Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Aliyu Abubakar Musa, according to Garba Sheu, Buhari’s media aide. on Monday.
DCP Musa was formerly from Nigerian Police Force Zone 5, Benin City, as his last station
The former CPSO Commissioner of Police (CP) Abdulkarim Dauda was caught up in the shooting spree, the first of its kind in the annals of Aso Rock.
His team and that of First Lady Aisha’s clashed in the villa over refusal of a president’s aide to go into isolation after travelling out of Abuja to Lagos.
