Bandits engages govt in new game with kidnapped victims from Kaduna train
Bandits have engaged the Nigerian government in a new game after the attack on the Kaduna bound train from Abuja on March 28. In a show of power, the bandits released a video showing where they paraded the victims they kidnapped from the Kaduna bound train.
The armed bandits in military camouflage, tortured the victims to seek government’s intervention, demanding the government to pay the ransom the bandits requested so as to save their lives.
One of the victims in the video had appealed: “We’re the passengers from Abuja heading towards Kaduna and were abducted. We have sick ones, old and young, a mother and her children. Only God knows what we have been through here.
“Please, we are pleading that the government meet their needs and rescue us.”
The video, however, included the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Ali-Hassan, who regained freedom about one week ago, indicating that it may not be a current recording. However, people are in captivity.
