Gunmen invade residence of Commissioner’s father in Imo, set cars ablaze
Gunmen at the weekend invaded the residence of Hilary Akaolisa, father of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Imo State, Cyprian Akaolisa, located at Obibi, Awo-Idemili, Orsu Local Government Area, damaging the building and setting cars ablaze.
The gunmen were said to have stormed the residence in a truck, shooting sporadically as they made their way. They were said to have vandalized the home, stealing refrigerators, TV sets, generating sets, mattresses, household items, etc. Thereafter, they deployed improvised explosive devices to set the building ablaze with. Explosives burnt all cars within the premises.
Residents in the house were said to have fled for safety on the arrival of the gunmen.
