Bandits Kidnap APC Chairman
Bandits at the weekend kidnapped zonal chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Aminu Bobi, in Mariga Local Government Area, Niger State.
It was disclosed that Aminu Bobi, Zone C Chairman of the ruling APC in Niger State was kidnapped in his farm on Saturday.
One of the kinsmen of the kidnapped victim was said to have confirmed the APC Zone C Chairman in the state went to his farm on Saturday but never returned home since then. The community later discovered that the chairman has been kidnapped by bandits.
Niger State has been under siege of bandits invasion in recent times. Students of secondary schools have been on target, kidnapped at will for payment of ransom. About 1,000 students have been kidnapped in the state in several operations by bandits since December 2020; thereafter, millions were demanded for ransom.
